Q: What is a Short Code?
A: Instead of sending text messages to a 10-digit phone number, you send them to a Short Code. These are five or six digits long, are easy to remember and sometimes spell a word or brand name. Our Short Code is: 55155
Q: Where do you get your information from?
A: We get our information from drivers who are constantly on the road in the areas which we cover and from subscribers like you. Always remember to report speed traps to our support hotline 1-800-969-4966.
Q: Can you guarantee that you know of all current speed traps?
A: We cannot guarantee to provide 100 % coverage of all speed traps in the geographical areas where we operate and we encourage safe driving at all times.
Q: How does the speed trap service work?
A: You can log ON/OFF at any time by sending a text message to 55155. When logged on you will receive alerts for the areas that you are subscribing to.
Q: How do I log ON to the speed trap alerts service?
A: Go to the Message menu on your mobile phone, select Text, then New message, write ALERT [YOUR AREA/HIGHWAY] using the alphanumeric keypad on your mobile phone, press OK, enter 55155, our Short Code phone number, no area code is required. Press Send. An example. Write: ALERT TORONTO and send it to: 55155
Q: How do I log OFF from the speed trap alerts service?
A: Go to the Message menu on your mobile phone, select Text, then New message, write ALERT STOP [YOUR AREA/HIGHWAY] using the alphanumeric keypad on your mobile phone, press OK, enter 55155, our Short Code phone number, no area code is required. Press Send. You are now logged OFF your desired county/region/city/highway and you will receive a text message confirming this. If you would like to log OFF all areas just send STOP to 55155.
Q: Is there a charge when logging ON?
A: There is NO charge when logging ON. Your operator will charge you for an ordinary text message according to your contract with Fido, Rogers Wireless, Bell Mobility or Telus Mobility.

A: There is NO charge when logging OFF. Your operator will charge you for an ordinary text message according to your contract with Fido, Rogers Wireless, Bell Mobility or Telus Mobility.
Q: Will I receive a confirmation after logging ON/OFF?
A: Yes, you will receive a text message confirming your subscription and your chosen area/highway.

Q: Can I subscribe to more than one area and/or highway?
A: Yes, you can subscribe to as many areas and/or highways you want.
Q: How can I get information on my current subscriptions?
A: Send LIST to 55155 and your will receive an overview of all your subscriptions with us.
Q: How many text message alerts will I receive?
A: It depends on how many areas and/or highways you subscribe to. You will receive text message alerts as long as you are logged ON. Remember that you can log OFF anywhere and at any time sending STOP to 55155.
Q: Do I need any special equipment?
A: All you need to receive text message alerts from us is a mobile phone with a Canadian subscription.
Q: Does it matter whether I'm a Bell Mobility, Telus Mobility, Fido, Rogers Wireless, or any other operator’s customer?
A: No problem. Our service is provided to all major cellular operators in Québec and Ontario except Virgin Mobile.
Q: What are the charges for the speed trap alerts I receive?
A: When you subscribe to our speed trap alerts service, you will be charged 50 cents for each message you receive. All charges will be billed directly through your cellular provider.
Q: Are there any long-distance charges associated with the speed trap alerts service?
A: There are no long-distance charges associated with our service.
